At Bella Mia Winery, our wines are rooted in the land that shapes them. Crafted from Texas-grown grapes and inspired by the unique geology of our state, each bottle reflects the character of the soil, stone, and climate that make Texas terroir truly distinctive.
As a boutique Texas winery, we focus on thoughtfully curated, handcrafted wines that celebrate both the beauty of the natural world and the rich agricultural heritage of our home state. From vineyard to glass, our goal is simple – to create wines that are authentic, expressive, and meant to be shared.
Located in Pilot Point, Texas, Bella Mia Winery is proud to be part of a long tradition of Texas winemaking. Every bottle we produce tells a story of place – of the land beneath the vines, the community that surrounds us, and the passion that drives us to craft something truly special.

Ours started with rocks.
Before we fell in love with wine, we fell in love with the land beneath the vines. We built our careers as geologists – scientists studying the forces that shape the earth.
We’re proud native Texans, with deep agricultural roots. Laurie’s family farmed the red soils of East Texas, while Robert’s family ranched the wide-open land of West Texas – two very different landscapes that instilled in us a lifelong respect for the beauty of the land and the life it sustains.
That background gives us a unique perspective on wine. To us, great wine doesn’t begin with the vines or the grapes. It begins in the soil, in the layers of rock, minerals, and time that define Texas terroir.
Bella Mia
Translated directly, Bella Mia means “My Beautiful” in Italian. Our winery was named in honor of all the distinctive beauty in our lives – our two beautiful daughters, and the beauty of the natural world, from the structure of stone and the patterns of topography to the swirl of an agate and the shimmer of water. Our labels and logo are reminders that every bottle of wine begins with the land itself.
The past several years have brought their share of challenges, both for our family and for our small business. But those seasons have only deepened our gratitude for the land, strengthened our resolve, and renewed our commitment to the dream that started it all – crafting exceptional wines that reflect the beauty of the land we love.

Today, that love has brought us home to Pilot Point, Texas, where Bella Mia Winery is proud to share our specially curated, hand-crafted boutique wines with the North Texas community – wines that tell the story of our state, our soil, and our passion for the land.
Because as deep as our roots extend into the soil, Bella Mia Winery is also deeply rooted in our local community. Being part of Pilot Point, Texas, means being part of a place where neighbors know each other, traditions matter, and local small businesses are built on relationships as much as they are on hard work.
